Structured Family Intervention

Is your loved one's addiction or compulsive behaviour affecting your life? Are they not willing to do something about it themselves? Have you tried to help them stop, but failed? Have others tried to help them stop, but failed? Have you come to the end of your tether? Have you had enough?

If this is your situation and you need to talk to someone about what you can do, please ring the Hanly Centre now on 01 2809795 and make an appointment to see a family intervention therapist.

What is Intervention?

Intervention is a powerful, highly effective process driven by love and compassion which offers both the family and the individual the opportunity to move towards improved emotional, behavioural, spiritual, cognitive and physical health. This process is also called recovery, a journey of hope, healing, empowerment, and connection.

What is the purpose of Intervention?

The purpose of intervention is a) to promote healing in families and b) to motivate the person at the centre of the intervention to seek appropriate treatment.

What is involved?

The intervention programme consists of pre-intervention sessions for families to prepare them for intervening with their loved one at the intervention. There is also a post intervention debriefing. The whole process takes between 10 and 15 hours. It is carried out by an accredited family intervention therapist.
